This Privacy Policy explains what data Nom Trail ("we", "us", "Nom Trail") collects when you use the Nom Trail mobile game (the "App"), why and how we use that data, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.
By downloading and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
Nom Trail does not use a traditional username/password account system. Instead, an anonymous player identity is created for your device the first time you open the App. The data we collect revolves around that identity:
A randomly generated identifier created automatically on first launch (via an anonymous authentication session). This ID is not directly linked to your name, phone number, or any other permanent device identifier (like an IMEI or advertising ID), and does not directly identify you personally.
Information such as which levels you've unlocked, your level scores, remaining lives/hints/path-reveal uses, and how many rewarded ads you've watched is stored on our servers, tied to your anonymous player ID, so your progress persists across sessions and (if backed up) across devices.
If you choose "Back up your progress" on the profile screen, you'll be asked for an email address. That email is used solely to send a one-time, 6-digit verification code and to let you recover your progress on another device. No password is created or required. Your email is never used for marketing, and providing one is entirely optional — you can use the full App without ever sharing an email address.
The App uses Google's advertising (AdMob) and analytics (Firebase Analytics) services, as well as Meta's (Facebook) App Events service. These services may, under their own policies, collect information such as device model, OS version, approximate location (derived from IP address), advertising identifier, and in-app usage events (e.g. completing a level, session length). Meta's data is used to measure and optimize the ad campaigns we run to promote Nom Trail. See Section 5 for details.
Preferences like music, sound effects, vibration, and language selection are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Nom Trail is a free game partly supported by advertising. Two types of ads appear in the App:
These ads are served through Google AdMob. Depending on your region and consent settings, Google may show personalized or non-personalized ads based on your advertising identifier and device information. Learn more about how Google handles advertising data at Google's Advertising Policies.
You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized ads from your device's ad settings (on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
We also run ad campaigns promoting Nom Trail on Meta (Facebook/ Instagram). If you installed the App by tapping one of these ads, Meta's App Events SDK collects limited, device- and advertising- identifier-based data to measure which campaign drove that install. Nom Trail is not directed at children and is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it within a reasonable time. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us at the email address in Section 12.
Data tied to your anonymous player profile is kept for as long as you keep using the App, or until you request its deletion as described in Section 8. Anonymous profiles that go unused for an extended period, and were never linked to an email, may be periodically cleaned up.
Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your data.
Use the "Delete my account" link on the profile screen, or email us directly at furkangokhann1@gmail.com. To process your request, please include your display name shown on the profile screen, or the email address linked to your account (if any). Once verified, all server-side data tied to your anonymous player ID (progress, scores, profile info, and any linked email) is permanently deleted within a reasonable time.
Simply uninstalling the App from your device does not, on its own, delete your data from our servers — you'll need to use one of the request methods above for that. See our Account Deletion page for step-by-step instructions.
We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data: data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections, and on the server side, row-level security policies ensure each player can only access data tied to their own anonymous identity. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where our service providers (Supabase, Google) operate their servers. We rely on the security and privacy safeguards offered by these providers when your data is processed abroad.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
